The WRAP Project – Wellness Recovery Action Participation


In June 2018 SUMMIT will be introducing a new service. This service is called the WRAP project.


How will we deliver the WRAP Project?

The beneficiaries of this project will be adults who may have a range of disabilities. They will be able to engage in the project via drop-ins at SUMMIT House.

  • By access to the Befriending Groups and Buddies (For those that misuse crisis and GP services.)

  • By access to Appointment Buddies preventing costly DNA and ensuring they understand their treatment pathway.

  • Preventing crisis and managing recovery plans.

  • Assisting beneficiaries with budgeting.

  • Accessing Simply Mindful sessions.

  • By supporting people to develop their skills and maintain their independence.


How will the WRAP Project benefit the wider community?

The WRAP Project will benefit the wider community in the following ways:

  • Reducing Loneliness and Isolation

  • Connecting people with experts by experience

  • Delivery of a long term buddy service

  • Working with people to understand personal safety whilst out and about and providing a place in the community where they can feel safe will increase heir usage of community facilities such as public, private and voluntary services.

  • Beneficiaries will be able to become trained volunteers.
