SUMMIT is a partner in the SHELLS Project, a multi-agency initiative that supports adults in Tendring who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. As part of the SHELLS Project, SUMMIT provides Health & Inclusion Advocacy to help reduce health inequalities. This includes supporting adults to register with a GP, attend medical appointments, and better understand their health needs and the pathways to appropriate treatment.

The SOS Bus can be located in Clacton-on-Sea and Dovercourt, offering a wraparound service for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Tendring. It provides immediate support with health, housing, and related issues.

You can find one of our Health & Inclusion Advocates onboard the SOS Bus on the following days:

  • Mondays (10am-2pm): Dovercourt, Kingsway CO12 3JR

  • Fridays (10am-3pm): Clacton-on-Sea, Pier Avenue CO15 1QN
