ADVOCACY

Advocacy is taking action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain the services they need.

Advocacy and advocacy services work in partnership with the people they support and take their side. Advocacy promotes social inclusion, equality and social justice.

AUTISM AWARENESS

Summit provides a post diagnostic service for adults who have received a diagnosis of Autism through the HPFT NHS diagnostic pathway in Mid and West Essex.

We work with people with a diagnosis of Autism to ensure they can access the services that will improve their quality of life. This is a time limited service.

HEALTH ACCESS CHAMPIONS SUPPORT

Summit provides advocacy and support to Health Access Champions (HACs) who are employed by Essex County Council.

The HACs are people with a learning Disability and they represent other people in their local community with a learning disability to achieve good health outcomes.

TRAINING

Summit has qualified trainers who deliver training on Mental Health, Autism Awareness and Independent Advocacy.

We deliver our training in a variety of sectors including; schools, colleges, community voluntary sector and the public sector. Our training can be accessed in our own premises or at a venue of your choice.
