New groups will be launching in Clacton-on-Sea this Summer to support people to try journaling for wellbeing.
Starting in June 2026, Tiptoe Creatives will be running monthly journaling groups at SUMMIT House. There are two groups launching – one is for people living with a mental health condition and one is for people with Autism. If you live with both conditions, you can select the group you feel would be most beneficial to your wellbeing (you can only join one group) and you don't need to have a formal diagnosis.
Journaling is the practice of writing down your thoughts regularly. It can help you to process emotions, experiences and supports reflection. The groups will run for a year and it's completely free. During the year, you can try a range of creative writing techniques in a safe, supportive way. It's also a friendly space to meet other people and form connections.
Led by Laura May, a writer from Clacton-on-Sea, the sessions support people to try different journaling techniques and explore themes such as mindfulness and self-expression.
